Black River Bonsai is pleased to welcome Jennifer Price, a Chicago-based bonsai artist known for her refined, movement-driven approach to design, back to Cleveland!
Jennifer brings a unique perspective to bonsai, drawing on her background as a former professional ballerina to emphasize line, balance, and natural flow in her trees. Her work spans a wide range of species—including Japanese maples, beech, pines, junipers, and elms—each approached with sensitivity to the tree’s individual character and stage of development.
With over 15 years of experience, Jennifer has studied under respected bonsai artists including Jim Doyle, Walter Pall, and Ryan Neil. Her work and teaching have taken her internationally, including participation in Generation Bonsai in Germany and representation of the United States at the Zhongguo Feng Penjing Exhibit in China.
This Bring Your Own Tree (BYOT) workshop is a full-day, hands-on session open to all experience levels. Participants will receive individualized guidance on design, styling decisions, and next steps appropriate to their material—whether that means structural work, refinement, or long-term planning.
Participants should bring their own tree, tools, and wire. Additional supplies will be available for purchase.
