This is a glazed, one of a kind, round pot suitable for a mame bonsai or kusamono and measures approximately 4-5/8″ x 1-3/4″.
It was hand-thrown on a potter’s wheel. The arching feet were added after trimming. It’s glazed in a visually textured, copper green with blue highlights. There is a slight texture to the clay from the addition of fine grog.
The inside of the pot is unglazed and features vertical striations to encourage downward root growth and add beauty to the empty pot. One drain hole and four wire holes complete the piece.
This pot is made with cone 6 stoneware which was fired to approximately 2230º F. This pot is vitrified and frost resistant. Signed and stamped by April Grigsby.
